Description:
Professor Himeda, a folklore professor, starts a youkai circle. In the late Edo period, a demon woman who loved a kappa and a zashikiwarashi attempted to disrupt their relationship with the villagers. The kappa, aided by a high-ranking priest, sealed the demon in a mound. Himeda seeks to locate this "mound." He learns that circle member Asano is from a region of yokai legends and her family operates a guest house, so he travels to a research camp with members Satomi and Shibata. However, Shibata is surprised to discover Satomi is having an affair with Himeda, despite having feelings for her. Meanwhile, Asano, arriving at her parents' guest house with Mr. and Mrs. Nagata and their daughter Aya, awaits the group's arrival.
