The Man Who Broke Britain (2004)

A major terrorist attack cripples Saudi Arabia's oil supply. On the same day, Samir Badr, a Saudi trader working for the English investment bank Sun First Credit (SFCB), vanishes. It’s soon revealed that Badr had accumulated massive debts, magnified by the attacks on his homeland. SFCB, previously highly successful, rapidly faces bankruptcy, triggering a collapse across multiple banks. The resulting market crash and banking crisis plunge Britain and the US into recession.
