Leslie, a busy event planner grieving the loss of her husband and business partner, relies on her responsible teenage daughter, Ava, to help manage the family while she works long hours. Unbeknownst to Leslie, Ava is taking her younger brother Ryan's ADHD medication, using it to boost her grades and for recreational purposes with a new group of friends led by Madison. When Ava disappears and becomes suspected in a hit and run that hospitalized another teen, Leslie must confront the secrets her seemingly perfect daughter has been concealing to bring her home safely.
