In a California neighborhood facing near-total abandonment as residents upload their minds to the internet, a lone survivor struggles with loneliness. This queer, gender fluid Indigenous healer, who has lost their spiritual abilities, seeks to persuade their last remaining friend – a staunch opponent of uploading – to help them make the decision to join the digital world and leave their physical body behind.
