Description:
The film examines the devastating 1928 collapse of the St. Francis Dam, California's second deadliest disaster. A major failure of engineering and human judgment, the dam was constructed by William Mulholland, an engineer who spearheaded Los Angeles’ growth by supplying the city with water via aqueduct. The disaster resulted in over 400 fatalities and the destruction of millions of dollars worth of property.
