Salem (2024)

In a Marseille slum, 14-year-old Djibril, a member of the Grasshoppers gang, lives a dangerous life with his pregnant girlfriend Camilla, who belongs to the rival Crickets. When Djibril is tricked into killing young Cricket Mahad, a gang war erupts. Haunted by Mahad's dying curse, Djibril begins to communicate with the spirit world and becomes convinced of an impending global apocalypse. He makes a desperate plan to escape with Camilla and their unborn child – the only one who can avert the curse. However, the law catches up to him. Twelve years later, after a prison sentence and psychiatric care, Djibril is determined to find his daughter and persuade her to fulfill his prophecy.
