Description:
Fred, a passionate car lover, struggles to win the heart of Tina, a hairdresser he's interested in. His fortunes appear to improve when he unexpectedly wins an Opel Manta in a raffle. However, Tina soon loses interest and begins dating Phil, a photographer with a sporty Golf GTI. This leaves Fred feeling embarrassed as his friends repeatedly tease him about his car. Undeterred, Fred finds support among members of the Manta Club, who share his enthusiasm for classic cars. As he becomes more involved in the car community and hones his driving skills, he decides to challenge Phil to a race. Fred hopes to prove himself to his friends and win back Tina's attention by winning the race in his Manta.
