Description:
In a quiet Indian town, Gauri lives a simple life with her uncle Pandey and aunt Parvati, who assist the District Forest Officer. Their peaceful existence is disrupted by the arrival of a new, energetic, and affluent officer, Vikas Kashyap, from Bombay. Vikas's family joins him, and Gauri develops feelings for him, believing he returns them. She performs the traditional Karva Chauth fast as a sign of her devotion to him. However, Vikas is already engaged to Sonia, a woman from London, and their relationship is strong despite the distance. The story follows Gauri as she deals with unrequited love and the difficult truth about her hopes for a future with Vikas.
