Description:
"The Last Tale," the final film in Eric Rohmer's Moral Tales, explores morality and desire through Frederic, an office worker living happily with his pregnant wife. Frederic daydreams about other women but has no plans to be unfaithful. The arrival of Chloe, who previously dated a friend of his, disrupts this balance. They develop a unique friendship, meeting occasionally, and Frederic faces a moral challenge when Chloe attempts to seduce him. The film is a thoughtful look at personal ethics and temptation, depicting the quiet struggles that arise when faced with desire within a stable life.
