Little Virgil and Freddy Frogface (1980)

In a peaceful village, Virgil, a kind young chicken, lives happily with his one-legged rooster friend, Oscar, in their henhouse. Their peaceful life is disrupted by Orla, a local bully who constantly makes fun of them. When a circus arrives, Virgil sees a chance to improve himself and get back at Orla, so he becomes the apprentice to the famous Human Cannonball. Under his mentor's guidance, Virgil grows into a brave and determined chicken, impressing the circus audience and Oscar. But Orla's jealousy grows as Virgil’s life changes, pushing him towards bad behavior. Eventually, Virgil uses his new skills to outsmart Orla, giving the bully a fitting punishment.
