Joshigakusei: shūdan bōkōjiken (1980)

Following the upheaval of the 1970s, a growing gap separates older and younger generations as societal values change quickly. This cultural divide sets the stage for a gripping story about a group of young men and women fleeing after a murder. The film's screenplay, by Wataru Hino (Atsushi Yamatoya), explores the inner lives of these young people, asking if their actions were driven by insanity or a logical response to a world where morality is unclear.
