Jet Set (2000)

In the working-class Paris suburb of Montreuil, Jimmy's restaurant, the Bombay Bar, faces closure due to mounting debts. Adding to his worries, Jimmy's wife is expecting a baby. Seeking a solution, Jimmy and his business partner Fifi find inspiration in a television show about wealthy people. They decide attracting affluent customers will save the restaurant, so they enlist Jimmy's friend Mike, a laid-back unemployed man, to pose as a nobleman and entice wealthy acquaintances to the Bombay Bar. Mike agrees and, after infiltrating an exclusive charity event, gains the attention of prominent figures like Arthus de Poulignac and Evrard, who invites him to live in his mansion. Mike quickly embraces this new lifestyle, leaving Jimmy to grapple with the consequences of his plan.
