Description:
During a summer vacation, this touching story follows a group of children as they unexpectedly discover themselves, friendship, and acceptance. Kārlis, an inquisitive boy, finds peace in the peaceful riverside scenery along the Rhine while others enjoy adventures. Herta, a girl visiting from Riga, discovers Kārlis' secret spot and is captivated by his stories and his way of seeing the world. However, their connection is threatened when Reinis and his friends become jealous of Kārlis and Herta’s bond. They plot a mean prank to make Kārlis feel small. This event reveals a harsh side of people but also helps the children learn and grow. Through what they experience together, they learn about caring for others and being kind, eventually building lasting friendships.
