High Road (2011)

High Road is a comedy film directed by Matt Walsh of Upright Citizens Brigade. It follows Glenn "Fitz" Fitzgerald, a young man struggling to balance his former band, his girlfriend Monica, and dealing drugs. Faced with limited choices, Fitz turns his garage into a drug operation and befriends a local teenager named Jimmy. As Fitz's bandmates achieve success without him and a deal goes wrong, he impulsively sets off on a road trip with Jimmy. Their journey becomes chaotic, filled with car chases, gunfire, injuries, difficult encounters, and a mysterious doctor. Amidst the mayhem, Fitz tries to navigate these obstacles while unaware of a secret Monica has waiting for him. High Road is a funny story about friendship, loyalty, and finding oneself during a wild road trip.
