Here and There (2024)

Adrien returns to Paris after 15 years in Senegal, unexpectedly forced back by visa issues to reunite with his wife Aminata. He stays with her cousin Sékou, and their lives become connected. Sékou has distanced himself from his Senegalese roots, a contrast to Adrien's recent experiences. This difference in backgrounds explores identity and adapting to a new environment as Adrien navigates Paris with Sékou’s help. He encounters aspects of Parisian life that challenge him, leading to surprising discoveries about himself and the world. The film examines cultural assimilation, family ties, and personal change, set against the backdrop of two worlds intertwined.
