Gran Valor (1980)

Abel Amoroso, a young notary working routine deliveries, is caught in a dangerous kidnapping scheme. The kidnapper, Luis Santanelli, looks exactly like Abel and uses this to impersonate him. Santanelli steals the money and convinces the police he's the real Abel. He continues the deception by entering Abel's life, even marrying his girlfriend, leaving a path of confusion and lies. The film explores questions of identity, trust, and the fallout from assuming someone else's life.
