Ghost Dance Wildwest Suite, Part III (1980)

"Ghost Dance" (1980) takes viewers on a visual journey through Arizona's Canyon de Chelly. The camera begins with a wide view from the canyon rim, then slowly descends to reveal ancient Navajo ruins clinging to the cliffs. The film uses a special optical printer to loop and combine images, altering our sense of time and space. This creates an abstract look at how we perceive things, inviting us to consider how we experience time and the limits of our own understanding.
