Fumoon (1980)

A thrilling sci-fi adventure begins with the discovery of the Fumoon, an evolved humanoid species, on a remote island. Dr. Yamadano finds these small, intelligent beings while investigating a nuclear testing incident, but his claims are met with disbelief by most, except for detective Shinsaku Ban and siblings Rock, Kenichi, and Pichi. The Fumoon are secretly using advanced technology to capture animals globally, planning to take them aboard their spacecraft as they prepare to leave Earth. They are evacuating due to a catastrophic stellar explosion that will unleash a deadly black gas cloud. However, a compassionate Fumoon named Rokoko befriends Kenichi and decides to help humanity. She joins forces with Dr. Yamadano, Dr. Ochanomizu, and Dr. Frankenstein to build a spacecraft capable of saving a small group of humans from the impending disaster. They must overcome their limitations and face incredible challenges in a desperate fight for survival against cosmic forces.
