Flatfoot in Africa (1978)

In Naples, Italy, Inspector Rizzo receives a mysterious message from a South African police officer he previously met. The officer wants to meet and share important information, but he dies unexpectedly before they can. All that remains is a photograph of his young son, Bodo. Driven by curiosity and a sense of responsibility to the officer’s family, Inspector Rizzo travels to Johannesburg to find answers and Bodo. He navigates South African culture while facing dangerous criminal elements possibly linked to the officer's death. In Johannesburg’s cities and landscapes, Inspector Rizzo uncovers a complex story of crime and tragedy as he gets closer to finding Bodo and understanding the events that brought him there. The film explores themes of loss, strength, and dedication to family and justice, set against the backdrop of two cities connected by duty and shared humanity.
