Elder Brother First, Younger Brother First (1980)

This family drama follows the elderly Choi as he visits his successful trading company-owning son, Byeong-Shik. While their reunion is warm, Choi's eldest son, Byeong-Ku, struggles when he uses their family burial ground as collateral for business expansion and fails to get it back. Unable to resolve the situation, he turns to Byeong-Shik for help, straining their father-son relationship, which culminates in Choi demanding they cut ties. Guilt-ridden, Byeong-Shik provides the money to restore the burial ground. However, his wife's past actions have damaged the children’s respect for her, creating family conflict as she tries to make amends with her husband and father-in-law.
