Description:
Inocencio Prieto y Calvo, a poor, illiterate man, receives a letter informing him he's inherited two million pesos from his uncle. Determined to read the life-changing news himself, he ventures into the local school, despite never having learned to read. Set in a time when education wasn't readily available, the film explores determination, personal growth, and societal expectations. As Inocencio learns to read alongside a young girl who initially read the letter for him, they discover opportunities they never imagined.
