Dream Homes (2024)

Dream Homes is a documentary exploring the lives of three independent queer communities building their own homes and sense of belonging outside mainstream society. Created by PIN-UP, in collaboration with House of GG, Lupinewood, and Ten of Cups Farm, the film offers a look inside these collectives as they create living spaces that redefine domesticity. The documentary shows the complexities of communal living and how it creates a welcoming environment for those often marginalized. Against a backdrop of American ideals like freedom and innovation, these intentional communities demonstrate an alternative way of life where shared values and home foster strong unity. Dream Homes takes viewers to rural and suburban locations across America, where LGBTQIA+ individuals have found comfort and support within their chosen families. By examining the daily lives of these communities, the film challenges traditional ideas of home and highlights the strength and ingenuity of human connection.
