Description:
In 1943, a childless couple, the Čížeks, secretly shelter David Wiener, the son of Čížek's former employer, in their apartment's pantry. Čížek understands the risk to his family and neighbors but considers helping a fellow human being a simple act. However, he privately struggles with fear. The approaching end of the war further complicates matters, as he faces danger from both the Germans and some of his own countrymen.
