Description:
It's summer, 1913, and H.C. Curry's farm is suffering a severe drought. The animals are dying of thirst, and the crops are failing under the intense heat. Facing ruin, H.C. and his family are approached by Bill Starbuck, a charismatic adventurer who promises to bring rain for a hundred dollars. Though doubtful, H.C.'s daughter Lizzie and her father become increasingly intrigued by Starbuck and his bold offer. With the farm's survival at stake, the Currys must decide if they can trust this enigmatic man or accept defeat from nature.
