Chen Zhuang, an elephant performer in a traveling circus, has a profound connection with someone that is unexpectedly broken by a casual comment from the prop master. This triggers a flood of memories and feelings of longing, forcing Chen to confront his past and his sense of self. Later, Chen takes a solitary day to reflect before leaving the circus, experiencing a poignant journey of self-discovery and saying goodbye.
