Cucciolo (1998)

Massimo, 42, has spent the last 32 years living as if he were still in eighth grade, avoiding adulthood. His resistance to growing up stems from deep-seated psychological issues that keep him stuck. Worried about their son’s arrested development, Amedeo and Lucia, both in their eighties, consult a doctor. The doctor diagnoses Massimo with Peter Pan Syndrome, an unwillingness to abandon the carefree nature of adolescence. To help Massimo face reality, the doctor suggests a life-changing experience that will challenge his fears and help him realize his potential.
