Description:
In late 1918, as the Russian Civil War intensifies, tensions rise in East Asia, from the Ural Mountains to Shanghai. Old generals, shadowy organizations, and fortune-seeking mercenaries converge, hoping to profit from the chaos. Corto Maltese arrives in Shanghai, briefly encountering his old friend and rival, Rasputin, and narrowly escaping an assassination attempt before being recruited by a Chinese secret society known as "The Red Lanterns." Deep in Manchuria, Corto and Rasputin embark on a thrilling treasure hunt, following the trail of Kolchak's armored train – a heavily defended vessel carrying gold for the anti-revolutionaries.
