Cinderella – Munich Marionette Theater (1980)

In a society obsessed with wealth and status, Cinderella's life is a harsh contrast to that of her wealthy stepsisters. While her father is away, she's left alone to do all the housework and is cruelly nicknamed by her mother. Her chances for a better life seem slim until the prince announces a grand ball at his castle. Casperl, a kind neighbor, creates a plan to prevent Cinderella's stepsisters from attending. A fairy then appears and helps Cinderella go to the ball. She must leave before midnight and loses a glass slipper in her haste. The prince, enchanted by Cinderella, sends Kasperl on a quest to find the woman who owns the slipper. Balancing her duties at home with her hopes for love, Cinderella relies on Kasperl's friendship and fate to find her own happily ever after.
