Three boys, Alfred, James, and Ted, who strongly dislike each other, are forced to attend a summer camp together. Their dislike intensifies when they get lost in the wilderness. They then discover a lone person with an axe, suggesting danger is nearby. Facing this threat and stripped of their usual advantages, the boys must work together to survive, dealing with both the dangers of the forest and their own complicated relationships.
