"Pop Art Diva: The Pauline Boty Story" is a documentary exploring the life of a groundbreaking British artist who blended pop art, feminism, and celebrity culture in the 1960s. A visionary ahead of her time, Pauline Boty's early death at 28 in 1966 overshadowed her significant talent. Recent years have seen renewed interest in her work. The film uses original photographs, artwork, and interviews with those who knew her – including Sir Peter Blake, Jim Moir, Kate Bryan, Natalie Gibson MBE, Corinne Drewery, Tanita Tikaram, and Ronnie Archer Morgan – to tell Boty's story. It examines both her artistic development and the 1960s environment that inspired and was changed by her innovative art.
