Big and Little (1980)

Lotte, seeking genuine human connection, travels through Germany. The film follows her attempts to connect with people she meets, but she discovers each person lives in their own isolated world. Adapted from Botho Strauß's play, this film examines the difficulties of relationships and the barriers we build in our disconnected society. As Lotte experiences missed chances and disappointments, the audience is prompted to consider their own connections and the need to overcome the invisible walls that prevent true intimacy.
