Beyond The Mast (2025)

This drama follows Old Maqbool, a kind cook on an oil tanker traveling along rivers. He's well-liked by the crew, but the ambitious helmsman distrusts him, believing he's a spy for the ship's owner and begins to harass him. While stopping for maintenance at a port, Maqbool encounters Noora, a young stowaway seeking shelter. The helmsman exploits this situation to secretly smuggle oil, attracting the owner's attention. When the owner unexpectedly visits and is impressed by Maqbool’s cooking, he permits Noora to stay as his assistant. This sparks a series of lies, suspicion, and conflict among the crew as the helmsman falsely accuses Noora of theft to hide his own illegal actions.
