Description:

In 1975, Martin, trapped by his alcoholic father and weary mother, dreams of escaping his home. When his friend Micke suggests they work as waiters at a resort in Sweden, Martin eagerly agrees. But Micke soon moves on, leaving Martin alone. He finds solace in the attention of a friendly coworker, Jenny. Surprisingly, Martin is taken under the wing of Gösta, the resort's hot-tempered manager, who sees potential in him. Gösta quickly makes Martin his right-hand man, exposing him to the darker side of business as he uncovers Gösta's various, often illegal, ventures.
