Description:
Barbie and her rock band are returning to Earth after a concert for world peace in space when a time warp sends them to 1959. They connect with Dr. Merrihew and his daughter Kim, experiencing the swing era and the beginnings of rock 'n' roll. Performing at classic 1950s locations like drive-in theaters and Cape Canaveral, the band bonds with their new friends and discovers the origins of their music. With Dr. Merrihew’s assistance, Barbie and the band return to their time and find adult Kim and her daughter Megan waiting for them. They hold a large concert in New York City, bringing together past and present. The concert ends with a heartfelt reunion between Barbie and Kim as they watch everyone enjoy their music together with Megan.
