Bad Medicine (1985)

Jeff Marx is a driven young man aiming for a career in medicine, but struggles to meet the high academic standards of American medical schools. He's then offered a chance to study abroad in a small Latin American nation controlled by dictator Ramon Madera. Unbeknownst to Jeff, Madera is personally interested in observing the students’ conduct and values, creating unforeseen challenges for his studies. The film explores ambition, integrity, and political maneuvering as Jeff pursues his dream of becoming a doctor under the watchful eye of Madera's authoritarian rule.
