Aside (2025)

This is the story of young George, whose physical disability shapes his early life, leading him towards rebellion. Born with a leg length discrepancy, he spends his final years of elementary school undergoing experimental treatment in a hospital. Returning to his village, George begins attending church and eventually becomes a monk, taking the name Father John and seeking a secluded life. The film explores Holy Week rituals within his community as Father John grapples with ideas of sacrifice and renewal. It's a journey of self-discovery where George learns to accept his difficulties and find meaning in faith.
