This documentary follows an investigator exploring forgotten footage and documents from a Uruguayan coup. As they uncover hidden histories, the investigator becomes fascinated by depictions of lesbian and transvestite individuals from that era. A compelling obsession with an amethyst stone – sourced from northern Uruguay and now in a European museum – also develops. The unifying element connecting these disparate discoveries is cataloging: the careful organization and documentation of each piece of history.
