10s Across the Borders (2025)

The film follows four visionaries who expanded New York City's thriving ballroom culture to Southeast Asia. It documents their journeys as they introduce this LGBTQ+ subculture – defined by competition, self-expression, and strong community – to Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. The documentary explores their personal experiences adapting to new cultures, building relationships, and balancing the American origins of ballroom with a unique Southeast Asian identity. Through personal stories, we see the development of supportive communities offering acceptance and belonging, highlighting both the difficulties and rewards of sharing a tradition across borders.
