OK, so given my age, this series is definitely not aimed at my demographic. Having watched Trek since the late 1960's, I could live with that to an extent, but the problem is, it's just not that well done either. There is a casual, one might say lack-a-daisical, feel to the whole thing, exemplified by the way Holly Hunter plays her role. She's so laid back as to be almost incoherent, affecting a 20th century hippie style which really doesn't belong here. Other characters, well, they are just there.

Then there's the script. Why are we being treated to early 21st century stereotypes, behaviour, speech and mannerisms in what is supposed to be the 32nd?

I made it to episode 3 & gave up trying to find any redeeming features apart from the CGI, which is state-of-the-art, but the lack of proper story-telling and character development made the decision not to continue easy.
