Ad Vitam
5/10 by Dean April 13, 2026
Ad Vitam is a well-made French action thriller that succeeds in its technical execution but stumbles with its core narrative. Guillaume Canet delivers a raw, believable performance as Franck, and the opening home invasion sequence is genuinely tense and frightening. The film does a great job showing the grit of elite GIGN training, and the practical stunts feel much more grounded than your typical Hollywood blockbuster. However, the "government conspiracy" at the heart of the story is where the movie loses its footing. The idea that the French domestic intelligence (DGSI) would go to su…

The Bride!
5/10 by Gordon April 11, 2026
I had such high hopes and expectations for Maggie Gyllenhaal's directorial debut. Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale are brilliant, but alas, they couldn't even save 'The Bride'. I found myself wishing that Buckley's 'Ida' would pick a personality and stick with it. I felt that way more so for the continuity and interest in the story than anything else. Bales interpretation of 'The Monster' was as nuanced as I had hoped it would be, his need for human interaction was palpable. Buckley switching from an American accent to a British one was kind of ironic in my eyes, but appreciat…

Above the Line
10/10 by hmargot49 April 9, 2026
I watched this movie at its premiere in Sun Valley and I loved the character-driven storytelling that gives you a fun, hilarious and edgy insight into what Hollywood is really like. It feels like a refreshing A24 type of film that will keep you guessing until the end. Had a blast and would highly recommend.…

Young, Nazi, and Proud
7/10 by bella April 9, 2026
still an important look at how the far-right good ol' boys operate and develop as propaganda-molded racists, misogynists, homophobes, transphobes, antisemites, etc. in an unconscious spite against the concept of a functioning frontal lobe. whether they spell it 'civilization' or 'civilisation', it's always the same thing. love watching mark collett squirm there toward the end…

The Rookie
10/10 by ImTheRealLiviMason April 10, 2026
TIM BRADFORD (ERIC WINTERS) is sososososososososo *insert breath* sososososo fine! I want him to be my baby daddy. The other characters are okay I guess, but I watch it just for Tim. His physique is INCREDIBLE *insert heart eyes emoji*. Jackson West is another fine character, but not as fine as Tim Bradford. **PLEASE NOTICE ME TIM BRADFORD!**…

For All Mankind
1/10 by skuNk_citY April 11, 2026
I enjoyed the first seasons but it is now unrecognizable. There are now only two original characters left as of season five. That is some short sighted shit. The new characters are one note and so is the writing. It has become a high school soap opera. Done.…

Patriots Day
9/10 by bizna April 11, 2026
Both touching and thrilling. Not a lot of movies can boast as being able to achieve both. This one does. You'll be moved by the human stories that make this movie, and you'll be clutching your seat during the action scenes. The people are real. The drama and suspence are real. This is the real deal.…

How to Train Your Dragon
by Hann Myint Myat April 12, 2026
How to Train Your Dragon is widely praised as one of the best animated trilogies ever made. It stands out for its emotional storytelling, especially the bond between Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III and Toothless, which evolves from fear and misunderstanding into deep friendship and sacrifice. Many viewers love its animation quality, music, and strong themes about empathy, growth, and letting go.…

Secret Level
5/10 by Chocolatier April 12, 2026
I loved Love Death and Robots, it was a showcase of shorts from creators that really wanted to make those. There was art, creative output. Secret Level is someone seeing Love Death and Robots and saying "give me that, but for my existing intellectual property". It was made to order and the order was a bunch of ads and promo for certain IPs, barely a celebration of gaming and it's history. It has no soul. Just to cover it right away, animation was great in all, nothing to add there, problem lies in concept itself and narrative execution. Now, there is title diversity but ga…
