73/100 I apparently liked this far more than most, probably because I enjoy movies with parallel time lines overlapping each other. Is there really a time loop going on? ...or is Michael hallucinating the whole thing because he went off his meds? Did the ambiguous ending mean the cycle is broken? You'll have to decide for yourself. Humane, with characters, developments and performances that resonate with anyone currently transiting adulthood and seeing their lives not turn out as expected. Unfortunately, I believe it is the nature of these corporate figure, stoic, cynic, hypocritical characters what might weigh the emotional aspect down for a greater part of the story, only cut through by brief bursts of Kendrick and Lynskey excellence, and eventually, Clooney's character's growth. Now whilst he becomes fond of her, he is far more fond of “Fenella” (Penelope Dudley-Ward) who just happens to be married to his brother “Caryl” (Griffith Jones). Once it gets going, this is quite a fun vehicle for Maurice Chevalier as he falls in love with a chewing gum heiress. “Pierre” accompanies “Barbara” (Claudette Colbert) to her American home where her father (George Barbier) has his name on just about everything.
