33/100
A couple teens ditching class find a naked woman (who's dead but still kickin') strapped to a table in an abandoned mental hospital. Depraved and boring in equal measures, the film doesn't have a single character that is worth watching. The premise is interesting but they did very little with it. There was so much they could have done here but they chose to have a couple of extreme moments and then padded the film with angry conversations and perverse activities. The 'moral' protagonist was just as bad as the rest of them and that ending was awful. Sick junk. -- DrNostromo.com…

I am... disappointed by the ending.
**SPOILERS AHEAD:**
"I AM YOUR MOTHER!"
Do you get that reference?
It's from a movie. A horror movie similar to this one.

How refreshing it is when a movie turns out to be better than expected. And such is very much the case in this third installment in the “Knives Out” murder mystery franchise, arguably the best offering in the series. In the interest of full disclosure, I was not particularly looking forward to watching this release. While the first two films were modestly entertaining, they had occasional tendencies toward silliness and incredulity that detracted from their core focus and overall quality. However, this latest effort is a pleasant surprise, primarily due to a noteworthy maturation of the materi…

Finally got the time to rewatch one of Indonesian cinema’s gems by Yandy Laurens and man, it still hits just as hard. Watching it for the second time honestly made me realize how magical this film really is. The writing’s super solid, the everyday conversations feel so natural but still manage to touch, entertain, and hit deep at the same time. Ringgo and Nirina’s performances? Insane. So much soul, so real.
What I love the most is how this film isn’t just about trauma, heartbreak, or moving on it also throws a subtle jab at the film industry today, which sometimes feels too commercial …

It's gory, and becomes so !@#$ing boring that I skipped through at least a third of it. The final entry, "Dr. Mortis" was probably the best. The rest of it is stupid people doing stupid !@#$.
Now I remember why I stopped watching "V/H/S".
Horror is a genre chock-full of way too much crap.…
