It was made for my wife. It's a simple and unbelieveable plot that does tension well about a single mother who finds the world's best first date. Most men would have thought something was up and bailed pretty fast. So it's getting a 10 of 10 because it featured a straight white male who was a good guy, and not evil personified. It's not bad for a movie that should have been made in the 1970s, and if it had the ending would be have been bleaker, the tone more depressing, there would have been more turtlenecks and it would have been a bigger hit. Instead it's more modern which means there is more action, more Fx, less story, less atmosphere, and a happier ending. The show isnt bad, but its not good either. 1. This was one of those movies where they really relied too much on the visual effects to sell the movie. This was one of my favorite movies growing up! I still hate going to the dentist because of this. Of course the ending was changed in the version I watched as a child so I did some research and turns out they did a screening of the movie to an audience in the 1980's before releasing the movie of the original ending and they hated the original ending so they changed it. Actually, I prefer the changed ending not the original one. But still it is a fun movie, they don't make them like this anymore!…

So the clear comparison to Superman was obvious but it was really funny and had a good story. Will try not to spoil it but there was even an excellent twist and I loved the idea of the bad guy as the hero in the story that was really well done. Also the way they developed the characters was well done so not just your typical good vs evil story. Good job guys, well done!…
