Typical that this show would be teeming with loser reviews about "Wokeness" newsflash you're watching a tv show based on a book about gay vampires. GOD FORBID a character be poc, absolute crybabies. This show is objectively better than the movie and deeper than the books,as well as being able to be legitimately queer from the get go which, wouldn't you be surprised! Anne rice wasnt able to do at the time due to homophobia. If you're gonna complain about "wokeness" maybe dont be watching possibly the gayest media to exist you absolute weirdos...…

Citizen Vigilante is easily one of Uwe Boll's strongest and most thought-provoking films. Powered by a solid performance from Armie Hammer, it follows an American expat who embarks on a violent crusade against criminals. Rather than offering easy answers, the film makes you question what happens when public faith in legal institutions completely collapses. humm well. The epilouge spoils any surprise of what the backrooms is, the therapist patient thing is kind of naff. its unclear who the main character is. I think they tied the Clark character too much to the backrooms, where it should have been its own character. some unsettling moments, but overall the writing let it down. some nice creppy surreal imagery, but the imposed story of Clark took over. Would have been better as pure horror atmosphere, where the mysteries of the backrooms reveal themselves as the characters travel through them. Clarks family drama just detracted from this. Its …

The online manosphere was attacking this movie online well before it was ever released in theaters. Feels like there is probably significant crossover with the people who bemoaned Barbie & The Little Mermaid. It's an action packed movie with a lot of heart. The fact that this movie was banned in various western countries means it touches a nerve with the people in power. When you get a lot of flack, it usually means you're over the target. And boy, is this movie over the target. Compelling ensemble chemistry offers a dynamic tonal sandbox that's cordoned off with dramacidally reflexive dialogue and characters whose predictable arcs peak with sentiment rather than insight. Production design, direction, cinematography, and VFX are not up to even baseline standards for the genre space of the time.
