Extremely dated. Like a movie from the '90s when Spielberg was in his peak, even the soundtrack. Except you're watching this as a sensible adult in the digital age.
The acting was atrocious, the plot took too long to develop, all the characters are idiots and everything was just dumb and convenient.
The entire plot centers around exposing the existence of aliens to the world. But instead of just uploading undeniable proof online, they think a TV station in Kansas city is their only option.
One scene, where Bono's daughter was talking to the nun on the phone, she ask if the nun had a computer to look something up for her. Meanwhile, she's holding a smart phone in the year of our Lord 2026. Could she not look it up herself? What?
