**It destroyed the franchise**
28 Years Later is another tired franchise revival that ruined its respective franchise. The film was akin to a hollow, uninspired cash grab, with zero respect for the original story. It started out good, but didn't know what it wanted to be, and the choices made by the characters were just too ridiculous to lead anyone to believe they survived for up to 28 years. It's dull, disappointing, and felt like a betrayal to fans of 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, graphic novels, and comics.
If you want my opinion: if you're a fan of the franchise, don't waste your time or money on this utter waste of time.
